Q: When can I enroll in the next session?
A: You can enroll at ANY time for any open class. Just call the gym to
check availability
for the days and times you prefer. (Tuition will be prorated from your
start date if
you join any session currently in progress.)
Q: How do we register for a class?
A: We cannot “hold” a spot or put your child(ren) into any of our
classes without the following:
Annual Registration Fee, Class and/or Event Tuition, and a
Signed Waiver. Once all three items are received, your child will be
put into
a class.
Q: What age can my child start your program?
A: We begin gymnastics at 2 years old. This is preschool gymnastics
that focuses on motor development. We continue through age 18.
Q: Why should my child take gymnastics? What are
the benefits?
A: Gymnastics helps to increase muscular strength, flexibility,
coordination, endurance, and agility. It also gives children an
awareness of relationships to
other students and coaches. Children also learn the joy of movement
mastery,
discipline, self control, a confident self-image, a positive attitude
towards their
bodies, and trust in their own abilities. They also learn that exercise
can be a pleasurable
experience.
Q: Do you offer any discounts/specials?
A: Yes! We offer several discounts and specials.
Discounts: We offer a 10% discount for siblings living in the same
household. (Full
price on first child, discount applied to each additional child.)
We offer a 10% discount for children enrolled in more than one class
per month. (Full price on first class, discount applied to each
additional
class.)
Specials: We always offer referral credit
of
$10 to any NEW
gymnast or
cheerleader
that you refer to our gym. The NEW
student must write your name on
their registration form and submit it along with their registration fee
and
tuition. There is no limit to the number of referral credits you can
receive.
We also periodically offer registration at ½ off or free. Please call
for
more details.
Q: Do you offer any options for fundraising?
A: Yes! We offer lots of opportunities throughout the year for
fundraising. This is
done for your individual account, not for the gym. We offer several
options,
including but not limited to, pizza kits, cookie dough, pecans, etc.
Q: Is fundraising required?
A: No. We offer fundraising to help you out! We understand the
ever-increasing cost
of raising a child involved in sports. The money you raise goes into
your account to
help pay for monthly fees and other qualifying gym expenses including,
but not limited to uniforms, gymnastics camps and meet fees.
Q: How does my child progress in your program?
A: When you register your child for our classes, they are entered into
one
of our
recreational levels. Once the student “checks-off” the skills required
on each
apparatus for that particular level, they will be invited to move up to
the next level
(i.e. intermediate, level 2, level 3, etc). Each Rec. Level will have
Skill Posters hung
up in the gym. The instructors will update these posters daily to
ensure accuracy
within our recreational program and keep you informed of your child’s
progress.
Once a student completes the entire list of skills, they will receive a
letter, informing
you of the need to update your registration. (If students move up to a
new level and
you’ve already registered for the next session, we’ll just ask you to
pay the difference
in class tuition.) WE WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE YOUR
REGISTRATION. Please feel free to contact your child’s
instructor with
any
questions, comments, and concerns you might have! Please click here
to see a list
of skills required at each level.
Q: Do you have a competitive gymnastics team?
A: Yes, we offer competitive gymnastics beginning with Level 2.
Qualified students are
invited to join our team throughout the year. The head coach will
notify you when your child is ready to progress to this level.
Q: At what level will my child compete?
A: We offer the option to compete at Level 2 in the AAU division. At
Level 3, your
child will compete in either AAU or USAG or both. At Levels 4 &
up, your child
will compete in USAG.
Q: How do I withdraw my child from a session?
A: In order to withdraw your child from our program, you must give a
30-day
written notice. Your financial obligation will end 30 days from the
receipt of
notice. Lack of attendance does not constitute withdrawal.
Q: What are monthly fees and when are they due?
A: Monthly fees are due on the 1st day of the month. A late fee of $15
is added after
the 10th. A $25 fee will be charged for all returned checks. We do not
accept credit
cards at this time. Please call our facility for an updated price list.
Q: What is the difference between cheernastics
and gymnastics?
A: Cheernastics prepares girls and boys for middle
school, high school, all-star squad cheerleading try-outs. Gymnastics
focuses on all four
competitive
events of gymnastics and is geared toward progression to our
competitive team.
Q: What is the annual registration fee?
A: The annual registration fee is an administration fee. This fee is
paid once per
calendar year.
Single Child Family: $35 per year
Multiple children in family: $50 per year for first 2 children, $15 per
year for each
additional child
Q: Do you offer make-ups for missed classes?
A: If you miss a class, make-up classes are available. Make-up classes
must be made up
in the month of the missed class. If you miss a class in the last week
of the month, you
may make-up the class in the first week of the following month. Missed
classes due to
the gym being closed for a holiday or weather are not eligible for
make-up classes unless
otherwise stated. PLEASE MAKE A RESERVATION FOR THE
MAKE-UP
CLASS TO ENSURE THERE IS SPACE AVAILABLE! WITHOUT
A RESERVATION, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE A CHILD CAN MAKE-UP
THE CLASS.
Q: What is your inclement weather policy?
A: We follow the same inclement weather recommendations as the
Jefferson County
School system. In the event of inclement weather, our facility will
follow suggested
Jefferson County School Closings Schedules. Please tune in
to local Radio and Television networks
for closing information during inclement weather. (Make-up classes are
not offered unless
otherwise stated.)
Q: What should my child wear to class?
